Sam4s and Samsung cash register vat tax settings for new 20% rate.

Print a Financial Z report
Ensure the mode lock is in the S position (one past PGM on the mode lock)

Enter 70 and press the Subtotal Key

Select the function code associated to the current Vatable rate
i.e For the :-
ER-380 type register enter 098 for Tax 1 or 099 for Tax 2
ER-390 type register enter 184 for Tax 1 or 185 for Tax 2
ER-420 type register enter 134 for Tax 1 or 135 for Tax 2
ER-5200 type register enter 203 for Tax 1 or 204 for Tax 2

Press a function on the keyboard which is not used, to set a Tax program key

Press Cash key and then move the mode lock to the PGM position

Using the numeric keys type in the new Vat Rate e.g.20.000

Enter 2 if the product prices are Including Vat or 0 if the product prices are Excluding Vat

Enter 0 then press the TAX program key recently allocated to an unused key on the keyboard

Press the CASH key and return the mode key to the REG position

Print a Financial Report

Ensure the key is in the PGM position

Enter 3 and press the SUBTOTAL key

To program tax rate 1 enter 1 and press the TAX PGM key
tax rate 2 enter 2 and press the TAX PGM key

Enter the Tax Rate e.g. 20.00 and press the Ca/Amt key

If the retail prices include Vat enter 5003 and press the Ca/Amt key or
retail prices exclude Vat enter 5002 and press the Ca/Amt key

Press the SUBTOTAL key to finish and return to REG position

Print a Financial report
Ensure the key is in the PGM position
Press the #/TM/ST button followed by 9
Press X on the numeric keypad
Enter the TAX code associated to the current Vatable rate i.e. 1 for Tax 1 or 2 for Tax 2.
Press X on the numeric keypad
Enter the VAT rate i.e. 20.0000 – ensure the decimal point is used
Press the X on the numeric keypad followed by #/TM/ST
Press the TL/NS to exit and turn the key back to the REG position

Print a Financial report
Ensure the key is in the PGM position
Press the ST button followed by 9
Press X on the numeric keypad
Now enter the TAX code associated to the current Vatable rate i.e. 1 for Tax 1 or 2 for Tax 2.
Press X on the numeric keypad
Now enter the VAT rate i.e. 20.0000 – ensure the decimal point is used
Press the X on the numeric keypad followed by ST
Press the TL/NS to exit and turn the key back to the REG position

Ensure the key is in the PGM position
Press the #/TM/ST button followed by 9
Press X on the numeric keypad
Now enter the TAX code associated to the current Vatable rate i.e. 1 for Tax 1 or 2 for Tax 2.
Press X on the numeric keypad
Now enter the VAT rate i.e. 20.0000– ensure the decimal point is used
Press the X on the numeric keypad followed by #/TM/ST
Press the TL/NS to exit and turn the key back to the REG
