ERROR E 08 - How to rectify

If the display is showing error E 08 then you need to sign on a clerk.

You have a few ways of doing this, it is dependant on a few factors e.g. whether you have passcodes or you have programmed this by accident.

Step 1. This usually works ok:

1. press number 1 on keyboard (this is the large numbers, NOT departments 1-25)
2. press CLK# button

At this stage you should see the display has changed and you are ready to process a sale.

Step 2. - Passcodes are setup

1. enter your passcode on the numeric buttons
2. press the CLK# button

Step 3. - Incorrect programming has been setup.

1. press the CLK # buuton

You might see that C01 or C02 is on the screen, if so you have accidently programmed the clerk button to be setup with a number.

to cure:

1. press the clerk button once
2. turn key to program
3. press clerk button again
4. arrow down to system settings
5. press cash/ tend
6. press 3 then subtotal
7. press zero
8. press clerk button
9. press subtotal

turn key back to reg and the npress number 1 then clerk


ERROR E 10 - How to rectify

If the display is showing error E 10 then the printer has no paper inside or has run out.

Replace the paper then press the C button ( clear)

Condiment error

If you have the error where the machine is asking for a condiment, please do following:

1. Key to program
2. press arrow down to "system settings"
3. press ca/amt tend
4. press 3 then subtotal
5. type in 0 then press each department button
6. press subtotal to exit

now turn key to REG and test.

How to program receipt header

Casio SE-S300/2000 SE-S400/SE-S3000 SE-C350/3500 Receipt message:-

Do the following once:

key to program,then arrow down to system settings (its the last one) and press cash/amt tend

press 3 subtotal
press 2122 subtotal
press 0000300000
press cash/amt tend
press subtotal

NEXT,

turn key to REG and then back to Program (pgm)

arrow down to "Message setting" and press ca/amt tend

Then enter you details for each line.

You have 12 lines available, 8 at the top and 4 at the bottom.

If you wish to print the breakdown of the vat on the customer receipt, please do the following:

1. Key to program
2. press arrow down to "system settings"
3. press ca/amt tend
4. press 3 then subtotal
5. type in 0000100000 then press ca/amt tend button
6. press subtotal to exit

Now turn key to REG and do a transaction, if you have setup vat for your items then the VAT content will be in the receipt.

If you wish to program this for the Charge( card button) do following:

1. Key to program
2. press arrow down to "system settings"
3. press ca/amt tend
4. press 3 then subtotal
5. type in 000010000 then press CH tend button
6. press subtotal to exit

If you wish to program this for the Cheque ( CHK button) do following:

1. Key to program
2. press arrow down to "system settings"
3. press ca/amt tend
4. press 3 then subtotal
5. type in 000010000 then press CHK tend button
6. press subtotal to exit

Printing the number of items on the receipt


If you want the cash register to print how many items the customer has had, then please follow the steps below:

This procedure taken from page 71 of the manual.

On reg position, press no sale and drawer should open, if ok proceed:

turn key to pgm ( program) position
press arrow down to "system settings"
press 3 them subtotal
press 0522 then subtotal
press 0000001000 then ca amt/tend
press subtotal to exit.

turn key back to REG and test. The printout should tell you the quantity of items purchased.

How to ignore the complusory drawer switch.

If you need to leave the drawer open when you serve customers please do the following so you don`t get the error sound:

In reg model, press no sale and the drawer will open, if not finish what you were doing.

1. key to program,then arrow down to system settings (its the last one) and press ca amt/ tend
2. press 3 then subtotal
3. press 1022 then subtotal
3. press 20000 then ca amt/tend
4. press subtotal then turn key to REG

How to select the currency symbol for your country


To select £ on screen

key to program

press arrow down to system settings
press ca/ amt tend

press 2
press subtotal
press 0123 subtotal
press 7 many times until you see the £ or euro symbol
press ca amt tend
press subtotal
turn key to REG mode
